Vol. 22  (07) | 02/18/2022
To All:

It is with a very sad heart that we said farewell to our wonderful teammate Lori Gregory, the MVP of Syracuse NY. Lori was an outstanding employee of 20 years, she was truly a person who loved her job and all the people she met. Her work ethic and her beautiful faith made Lori a person to be truly admired and missed.

Rest in Peace our friend,

So you may be asking yourself who do I call on?  Spring sports are underway or on the schedule in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, what can you do while awaiting a decision or confirming a date?  How about fall sports groups?!?!

During the first quarter of the year, this is the OFF season for football, cheerleading, volleyball, golf, tennis, cross country, field hockey, and water polo.  These teams (boys, girls, varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams) are all in their training, conditioning, “tryouts”, and prep time for making the team or squad this coming fall.

Transitions will begin to happen in May.  Everything from tryouts, freshmen orientation, summer camps to summer workouts and tournaments. Available fundraising time may not be on the schedule so time is of the essence.  Call on these coaches and groups NOW!
You could run a traditional sale with them (books in hand) or perhaps you could try the one-hour fundraiser known as the Sprint. A lot of reps use this sale with their sports groups as their time is limited, but coaches like the FOCUS of the sale and it’s quick. These tend to be very successful as this is a focused single hour of fundraising.  Players come with a list of names and phone numbers along with friendly competition among the players (upper classmen vs. lower classmen; infield vs. outfield; JV vs. Varsity; boys vs. girls, seniors vs everyone else, etc.). If you haven’t run a Sprint sale, reach out to the sales team (sales@savearound.com) and they will be happy to review this option with you and get you up to speed on it.

2023 Merchants (old and new)
Take a few minutes and go through one of your sample copies of the market or markets you sell.  If you don’t have a book handy, get online and look at the e-book.

First, we need to know any merchants that are CLOSED.  We want to get those updated and removed from the markets now. Please email sales@savearound with any closures.

The 2023 books are being prepared as we speak and if there are businesses in the book that have closed we need to update the files. On the flipside, if there are new businesses that have opened NOW is the time to contact them. Remember this takes TIME to reach the correct decision maker or person in authority to go through the terms of the contract and coupon requirements.

If you take a few minutes NOW to help identify these things it will help us improve YOUR book and make it easier to sell next Fall. If you have merchants to be added or removed, please send an email to sales@savearound.com and they can assist with that process.

Gather as much information as you can as this will only help expedite the process. (Contact name, title, email address, cell phone number, address, best time to reach them, etc.)  So take a few minutes and review the current book and see what updates are needed.  The work you do now will only help improve the book you sell this coming Fall.
