Vol. 22  (30) | 07/29/2022

While the summer months are a slower time of year, it can be a very productive time as you are gearing up for Fall and how to be successful.  Here are a few suggestions on things to do during the summer months to prepare for a great and successful Fall season.

  1. Update Your Files
Summer is a great time to go through your files and contact lists.  Be sure to update everything. For existing clients and customers, be sure you have everything up to do in your file - contact information and other helpful notes so you are prepared when you meet with them.

  1. New School Built
Did a new school go up in the area you serve - if so who are the primary players? Principal? Secretary?  Coaches? Band Director?  Music Department?  Athletic Director?  You need to know ALL of these people - not just their name - but emails and possibly cell phone numbers if you can get them.  Now is the time to try and round up that information.  Do you have other teacher friends who knows someone at the new school?  Reach out to them and try to capture that new school contact info.

  1. Analyze your Fall 2021 and Spring 2022
Did you hit your goals?  # of groups to run / financial budget items for you personally? Obviously we’ve had some very “non-normal” years all across the country, but did you learn anything from it?  Did you learn how to run your business differently?  Virtual and remote options?  Zoom calls became the new way of communication and running meetings.  You can even look back at your repeat customers and look historically at their results.  Include a few years of sales and get their averages.  Was one year really high as compared to others?  If so, WHY did that happen?

  1. Make a plan - Fall 2022 and Spring 2023
What are your financial goals for you and your family personally for this school year? In order to hit that goal, how many groups do you need to run?  What amount of sales does each group need to hit to help you achieve your goal? Do you need some back-up groups in case someone cancels or pushes off a year?  If you would like to schedule a call to discuss your “custom financial plan” as it relates to your individual goals, please send an email to sales@savearound.com and we will be happy to set up a time to discuss and review.

  1. Write Thank You Notes
A quick note of thanks and appreciation to your Spring customers will go a long way.  Include your business card or at the very least your contact information so you can say thanks and also ask for a referral or set up a meeting with them this summer or as soon as school resumes in the Fall.  Everyone likes a sincere thank you and especially if handwritten because that shows you took the time to write out your thoughts and put a stamp on it.

IC Paperwork

Be sure to submit ALL paperwork for the 2023 school year.  Books are starting to roll off the presses and we need all ICs set up and ready to go. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with sales@savearound.com

IFC Website - where is it and what’s it for?

The IFC website is a valuable tool designed with the ICs in mind.  This is a website dedicated to providing the reps with support materials and everything they need in a single location.  Visit www.ifcsavearound.com.  Click Resources and then scroll down.  You will see everything from helpful videos, to downloads, editable PDFs, and archived newsletters.  Each section is specifically designed for a Product Line and its collateral or support materials are below each header.

The main sections include:  Videos; Important Forms; Coupon Books; Apparel; First Aid Kits; and Newsletters. You are encouraged to visit this site often as the materials you need will be located there and you can download them at your convenience.  If there is something you don’t see or think should be on this website, please contact sales@savearound.com and let the team know what is missing.
Checks and Returned Books

PLEASE make sure that payments (checks) are mailed to the P.O. Box address.  Some groups include the payments with their box of returned books that go to the warehouse.  In some cases, these check payments are lost, misassigned, or missed altogether because they are in a box of books in the warehouse and not picked up via the P.O. Box by the accounting team.  When this happens the group will be delayed in closing out and that will also delay your commission being processed and paid in a timely manner.

ALL payments need to be mailed to P.O. Box 2399, Binghamton, NY  13902

ALL returned books need to go to the Warehouse address using the provided shipping label.
If you have any questions about how to remit payment or return books, please contact the Group Relations team (grouprelations@savearound.com).
