What is a field day event? A field day is a fun-filled, springtime event held in many schools across the country. A field day gives kids the chance to celebrate the school year coming to an end, show some class pride, and spend a day being active.

Field Day gives everyone something to mark an important time in the year with and something to look forward to! Field Day offers the opportunity to integrate other subject areas into the process. Field Day can be used to teach about healthy competition and sportsmanship while promoting physical activity and teamwork.

How does field day work into fundraising through SaveAround?

* Usually Field Day t-shirts are given to all the student participants.
* Coordinate an apparel sale for field day through the SA Ink Team.
* Apparel could also be a prize for field day fundraising or prize awarded to top winners.

Other SaveAround products (coupon books) could be part of the mix for field day.  Field day event winners can win a coupon book.  Class fundraisers using coupon books or apparel to generate team totals that are awarded at field day.  Through fundraising earn tickets for field day for the various activities during field day to participate in (as a class or an individual).

Get creative and think outside the box and go after your Elementary School Wides with field day in mind and as a priority.  The physical education (P.E.) teacher or the Athletic Director (AD) will be your primary point of contact for field day unless it is coordinated through the PTO/PTA organization or another group within the school.
