Wait…..did you say Spring??!?!? Well .. we just launched into October and there are thoughts of pumpkin spice, crisp fall weather, football games, s’mores, and bonfires. Not spring?!?!
Well, from a planning perspective it IS time to think about spring. With only 45 days and counting for Fall sales to run and conclude, NOW is the time to think about Spring sales and those groups that could potentially run starting in January 2023.
Here are a few ideas for potential sports groups to target for next Spring: Badminton / Lacrosse / Cheer / Dance (competition level) / Baseball / Track and field / Softball / Swimming / Diving / Fencing / Tennis / Golf / Bowling
Other clubs / groups / classes might include: FFA / Music Department / Juniors / DECA / Band (jazz, wind ensemble, orchestra) / Seniors / Theater / Chorus (choral, glee club)
Now you’ve identified the groups that need to fundraise. What are some needs that you can quickly identify that are needed right away? What are some upcoming events where funds are needed immediately?
- Sports Equipment / Travel / Uniforms / Tournaments / competitions / Entry fees
- Clubs Equipment / Supplies / Travel / Competitions / entry fees
- Classes General - field trips, class trips, and related activities
Juniors - prom and related activities
Seniors - senior trip, prom, graduation, and related activities
This goes back to being prepared and doing your homework. If you go in with some ideas or suggestions then the pitch for fundraising is going to be better received. Be the expert. Know your audience. Be prepared to help them. Then pull out your bag of tricks with fundraising products to help meet those needs and achieve those goals for that team, club, or class.
