As we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd, it’s also important to feature kids and reading. March is considered National Reading Month and of course, school libraries need funds, too. Sometimes you can reach the librarian and other times it might be a media specialist, especially depending upon the size of the school. The fundraiser might also coincide with an upcoming book fair where the students can earn “Library Bucks” to spend on books as a result of their fundraising efforts. So we encourage you to use the National Reading Month (March) as the reason to approach the media center director, the librarian, or the PTO/PTA. Helping stock the library with new titles, reading materials, and resources will benefit ALL students in the school. This would be ideal for an elementary school wide fundraiser. Get the principal involved with prizes and incentives (i.e. pizza party for top class; top seller = Principal for a Day; 30 extra minutes at recess; eat lunch with your favorite teacher, etc.). Another non-traditional group that is an excellent target who needs money!
Closeout Forms / Email Needed
Just a reminder that when you save the information entered into the closeout form, it does not automatically update the Enterprise system, nor does it alert the Group Relations team to do the same. So, when the closeout is completely updated and finished, send a quick email to grouprelations@savearound.com to let the team know it’s updated. This will alert the Group Relations Team to update Enterprise to match the closeout information, ship any needed books, and officially close out the group.
2023 Merchants (old and new)
Take a few minutes and go through one of your sample copies of the market or markets you sell. If you don’t have a book handy, get online and look at the e-book.
First, we need to know any merchants that are CLOSED. We want to get those updated and removed from the markets now. Please email sales@savearound with any closures.
The 2023 books are being prepared as we speak and if there are businesses in the book that have closed we need to update the files. On the flipside, if there are new businesses that have opened NOW is the time to contact them. Remember this takes TIME to reach the correct decision maker or person in authority to go through the terms of the contract and coupon requirements.
If you take a few minutes NOW to help identify these things it will help us improve YOUR book and make it easier to sell next Fall. If you have merchants to be added or removed, please send an email to sales@savearound.com and they can assist with that process.
Gather as much information as you can as this will only help expedite the process. (Contact name, title, email address, cell phone number, address, best time to reach them, etc.) So take a few minutes and review the current book and see what updates are needed. The work you do now will only help improve the book you sell this coming Fall.
