The 2020 Summer Olympics XXXII that were postponed due to the pandemic are currently scheduled for July 23 - August 8, 2021, in Tokyo, Japan. The Olympic Games are normally held every four years alternating between summer and winter every two years in a four-year period. The creation of the Olympic games was inspired by the ancient Olympic Games held in Olympia, Greece from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD.
How does the Olympics factor into my fundraising efforts? This might assist in thinking outside the box:
*Some of the summer groups might have an “Olympic theme” or Team USA mantra. *Summer camps may focus on teams that mirror those in the Olympics. *Church youth groups might have an Olympic focus or something similar at summer camp or on the mission trip *Gymnastics Studios (summer camps) may follow specific gymnasts on their Olympic journey
I’m still not following … can you explain the Olympics and fundraising combination? *Medals for prizes “medalists vs. winners” *Identify teams similar to those in the Olympics within your group *Instead of first, second or third … go with Gold, Silver, and Bronze
You will still go after your summer groups with the fundraising products in mind. The Olympics Games may just give you a different spin or twist on a regular sale or a repeat customer. This keeps you fresh, current, and in the know.

As we enter May, this is the time to wrap up all Spring 2021 sales by sending final invoices, return shipping labels, and any other details to close out your current groups. Remember that the details needed on a traditional sale include: books sold via cash and check, lost/damaged books, and prize books. All credit card information and shipped book information will be entered through the system. We encourage you to reach out to all of your current customers who are finishing up their sales and get them closed out ASAP. Remember to give your groups enough time to close out before the school year ends - once your group has the invoice it will take a little time on their end to get it to their bookkeeper for payment.
**PLEASE REMEMBER**
Group Relations does not know to close out an account until you email GroupRelations@Savearound.com. Failure to alert Group Relations of a completed closeout form will delay receipt of your commission.
