SaveAround Community Conversation

Vol. 22  (13) | 04/1/2022

Time definitely flies when you are having fun, selling books and helping groups raise money.  This month will mark the 18th anniversary of SaveAround and Mr. Stanton’s 50th year in the fundraising business.

Mr. Stanton started in the fundraising space back in 1972 as a teacher and football coach and who was looking for ways to help his junior class raise funds. His idea for his junior class was a coupon book featuring coupons for about 12 local restaurants that his students could sell. It did so well that it started to spread to other schools and groups in the surrounding areas. 3 years later the company Dine-A-Mate was created and the rest was history. Fast forward 29 years and a Dine-A-Mate sale later Enjoy The City/SaveAround was born!

Fifty years later, the company has grown and serves thousands of groups all across the country.  Mr. Stanton still comes into the office and works alongside the staff to create new products and innovations to help raise money for groups, teams, clubs, and other organizations that are in need of fundraising.  Members of the Stanton family work in the business and want to help all of the customers raise funds to achieve their goals.

Happy 18th Birthday SaveAround!!!

P.s. Below you can find some of the original Dine-A-Mate books including the first ever Dine-A-Mate coupon book in the bottom left hand corner of the image!

FALL CONTRACTS

Did you say Fall contracts?  We are just getting going in Spring and enjoying Spring Break.
While fun in the sun is all good and well, it IS time to submit your Fall groups for next school year.  Keep in mind that there are a few details to consider when submitting Fall ‘22 contracts.

A. Clearly mark the name of the book especially if you are able to sell more than one

B. Be flexible with your start date.  Don’t promise a delivery date without talking with the
office first.  If you put down July 25th as the needed date, but the books aren’t slated to
be printed until early September then the July date might be an issue.

C. Remember that these are contracts for the 2023 books (think graduating class of _____)

D. Be sure to confirm email addresses, cell phone numbers, and if you have a new
chairperson we need their updated information, too.  We need the details!!!

E. When in doubt, please contact Group Relations: grouprelations@savearound.com
