Vol. 22  (48) | 01/14/2022

The words will inevitably ring true in some parts of the country this winter season.  Maybe not in southern Florida or Arizona, but for parts of the west coast, midwestern and northeastern areas and even part of the south - snow days are real and they’re coming.  As a student a snow day might mean an extra day to complete homework, a day to sleep in, and perhaps sledding downhill after building a cool snowman.  As an IC rep, a snow day takes on a completely different meaning.  Especially if you have a kickoff scheduled or a delivery.  Here are a few suggestions of the Top Ten Things you can do to make the most of an unplanned snow day.

Snow Day Successes
1. Check any Fall ‘21 accounts to be sure they are closed out.  Request invoices and
shipping labels for those accounts that are now closed out.

2. Review previous editions of the Community Conversation newsletters.

3. Reschedule any of today’s event to later in the week, next week or later this month.

4. Update “Hot List” of target accounts.  Make a plan on how to contact them.

5. Complete any spring contracts and send those in to grouprelations@savearound.com

6. Look up the Spring Break schedule for all of your school districts.  Add to your calendar.

7. Update your contact list with email & cell numbers. These come in handy on snow days.

8. Schedule time with the sales team if you need training or a refresher on how to use the
Enterprise system, how to fill out a closeout form, etc.

9. Clean out your car and get things ready for your next day on the road seeing customers.10. Organize your home office and get things ready for the next work day.

Snow Days

One more item for making it a productive snow day … while you are visiting school websites to get spring break schedules, do some research to find out about athletic schedules, prom, graduation, senior trip, etc., and use that information to help update your targeted schools and groups.  Coming into a meeting with knowledge makes you SUPER valuable to your customer.

Spring Contracts

Be sure to continue to fill out your contract agreements and send those into Group Relations  grouprelations@savearound.com for processing.  Allow 48 hours to get these entered and processed.
