Just a quick reminder to send paperwork, contracts, questions, etc. to the Team Mailboxes instead of individual staff members. Team boxes are generally covered by more than one person and will expedite your requests.

As the final days and week or weeks of school wraps up, here is a quick checklist of things to do before you take a holiday break:

  • Invoices and Closeouts
    • Double check to be sure ALL fall groups are closed out.
    • Make sure all fall groups have been invoiced.
    • Any groups invoiced to date, but not paid please follow up with the group chairperson and/or the bookkeeper.
    • Midweek, send in a request to the group relations team asking for the invoice to be re-sent.

  • Holidays
    • Send a note or email or Christmas card (or something) to your Fall Sponsors thanking them for their business.  A small gesture or token of appreciation goes a LONG way when building these long term relationships.
    • Organize and de-clutter.  Take some time to work on those office files - get things up to date, move files from Fall 21 to Spring 22.  Work on a hot list of prospects for Spring (potential) business.
    • Enjoy time with family and friends.  Take time to unwind, relax and breathe.  Make some terrific memories and enjoy some downtime if possible.

  • Spring 2022
    • Review January 2022 contracts.
    • Make sure everything has been submitted for January kickoffs.
    • Anything starting Jan 2 - 6 make sure the books ship out before 12/23/2021.

Sprint
Take time now to work on setting up one or two Sprint Sales for Spring ‘22.  Sports teams are GREAT prospects because they can get the fundraising knocked out before the season starts in late February or early March (thinking baseball and/or softball).  A January Sprint would be perfect for a quick sale to generate some funds for their upcoming season.  If you have questions about the Sprint sale or how to run it, please contact sales@savearound.com.

Referrals

Have you asked for a referral?  As you close out your groups that ran in August and September, remember to ask for a referral from your chairperson. They know other groups in the school that need to raise funds.  Coaches or Athletic Directors know other coaches at other schools who are probably in need of fundraising - similar situation. Or if you are working with a schoolwide group or a PTO/ PTA ask the parent volunteers if they know other groups (probably outside the school that might be interested).  You would be surprised at the number of groups that run based on a referral situation.

1. First winter Olympics were held in Chamonix, France in 1924.

2. 12% of Earth’s land surface is covered in snow and ice.

3. All snowflakes have 6 sides.

4. Coldest temperature recorded was -123 degrees C at Vostok Station in Antarctica in 1983.

5. Disney’s movie Frozen (2013) was the highest-grossing animated musical film of all time and 9th highest grossing film.
