The words will inevitably ring true in some parts of the country this winter season. Maybe not in southern Florida or Arizona, but for parts of the west coast, midwestern and northeastern areas and even part of the south - snow days are real and they’re coming. As a student a snow day might mean an extra day to complete homework, a day to sleep in, and perhaps sledding downhill after building a cool snowman. As
an IC rep, a snow day takes on a completely different meaning. Especially if you have a kickoff scheduled or a delivery. Here are a few suggestions of the Top Ten Things you can do to make the most of an unplanned snow day.
Snow Day Successes
Check any Fall ‘23 accounts to be
sure they are closed out. Request invoices and shipping labels for those accounts that are now closed out.
Review previous editions of the Community
Conversation newsletters.
Reschedule any of today’s events later in the week, next week, or later this month.
Update “Hot List” of target accounts. Make a plan on how to contact them.
Look up the Spring Break schedule for all of your school districts. Add it to your
calendar.
Update your contact list with email & cell numbers. These come in handy on snow days.
Schedule time with the sales team if you need training or a refresher on how to use the Enterprise system, how to fill out a closeout form, run a Sprint sale, etc.
Clean out your car and get
things ready for your next day on the road seeing customers.
Organize your home office and get things ready for the next work day.
Spring Contracts
Be sure to continue to fill out your contract agreements and send those in to Group Relations grouprelations@savearound.com for processing. Allow 48 hours to get these entered and processed. Make sure you are using the newest version
of the Contract Agreement on the website (www.ifcsavearound.com) as there are some new fields added to help the staff process
your order more efficiently. Specifically there are fields for “# of sellers” and “# of books” since that may differ from time to time. If you have any questions on the contract please reach out to sales@savearound.com or Group Relations.
Merchants (old and new)
Take a few minutes and go through one of your sample copies of the market or markets you sell. If you don’t have a book handy, get online and look at the e-book.
The 2025 books are already being prepared as we speak and if there are businesses in the book that have closed we need to update the files. On the flipside, if there are new businesses that have opened NOW is the time to contact them. Remember this takes TIME to reach the correct decision maker or person in authority to go through the terms of the contract and coupon requirements.
If you take a few minutes NOW to help identify these things it will help us improve YOUR book
and make it easier to sell next Fall. If you have merchants to be added or removed, please send an email to sales@savearound.com and they can assist with that process.
Gather as much information as you can as this will only help expedite the process. (Contact name, title, email address, cell phone number, address, best time to
reach them, etc.) We encourage you to take a few minutes and review the current book and see what updates are needed. The work you do now will only help improve the book you sell this coming Fall.
